York City vs Barnet - Minstermen ready to give Lewis Alessandra his debut

York's new loan signing Lewis Alessandra could make his debut in the home game against Barnet.

Forward Alessandra joined from Rochdale earlier this week for an initial month and will be included in Jackie McNamara's squad.

Midfielder Russell Penn starts a three-game ban following his straight red card in last week's defeat at Dagenham, while Bradley Fewster is hoping to shake off illness and a minor hamstring strain.

Fellow striker Vadaine Oliver will be assessed due to an ankle problem but forward Michael Coulson (groin) could return to contention.

Barnet boss Martin Allen is still unsure whether he will be fit enough to be in the dugout at Bootham Crescent after sitting out Tuesday's 3-0 victory over Newport with 'flu.

Bondz N'Gala will be unavailable having strained his hamstring at Rodney Parade, as will fellow centre-back Bira Dembele who still has a knee injury.

Teenager Harry Taylor is likely to start after replacing N'Gala off the bench in south Wales.

Defender Michael Nelson is currently the only senior player the Bees manager can pick in the centre of defence.
