Exeter City vs Carlisle - Alex Nicholls out for Exeter

Posted Friday, March 11, 2016 by PA

Striker Alex Nicholls is Exeter manager Paul Tisdale's only absentee for the Sky Bet League Two visit of Carlisle.

Nicholls sustained a facial injury in the 1-1 draw with Portsmouth on March 1 and missed last Saturday's 1-0 win at Cambridge.

Midfielder Ryan Harley is set to continue after missing the Portsmouth game through illness but returning to play 90 minutes against the U's.

The 14th-placed Grecians are unbeaten in three league matches, a run that started with the 2-0 win at Stevenage, and are five points off the play-off places.

Carlisle boss Keith Curle is expected to choose from an unchanged squad following the goalless midweek draw at Dagenham.

Defender Tom Miller returned to action for the first time since the end of January after a hamstring injury on Tuesday night and should continue after coming through unscathed.

Striker Charlie Wyke was also back in action after a knee injury kept him out of last Saturday's home defeat to Northampton and he is also expected to resume.

Winger Alex Gilliead, on loan from Newcastle, and striker Derek Asamoah are among those pushing for recalls as the Cumbrians chase their first win in four league matches.
