Manchester United will be looking to put their mid-week disappointment behind them when they welcome West Ham to Old Trafford for their FA Cup sixth-round clash on Saturday.
The Red Devils suffered a humbling 2-0 defeat to arch-rivals Liverpool in the first leg of the Europa League last-16 tie on Thursday night, their second defeat in a row after losing to West Bromich Albion in the Premier League last weekend.
It is an unfortunate blip for United after they were just beginning to show signs of their quality with four straight wins before the West Brom match, but have fallen back into a frustratingly familiar pattern in the last week.
With the result at Anfield all but putting paid to their hopes of lifting the Europa League, the FA Cup is now Manchester United's best chance at silverware this season and Louis van Gaal and his squad will be determined to give their increasingly frustrated fan base something to cheer about at the end of the season.
However, beating West Ham is no easy task, especially on your own patch. So far this season, the Hammers have beaten Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City away from home and are currently on a four-match winning streak and haven't lost in their last six games.
The home side will be without captain Wayne Rooney (knee), Luke Shaw (leg) and Ashley Young (groin). Antonio Valencia, Phil Jones and Cameron Borthwick-Jackson are on the way back from injury, but the match against West Ham comes to soon for them, while Jesse Lingard could feature.
The Hammers received a major boost ahead of the match with Victor Moses (quad), Enner Valencia (ankle), Joey O'Brien and Winston Reid (both hamstring) all fit to feature, but James Tomkins (calf) and James Collins (hamstring) are injured.
