Stranraer vs Forfar Athletic - Illness hits both camps as Reid and Bollan delay naming playing squads

Stranraer will look to bounce back from their 6-1 mauling at Dunfermline by seeing off Forfar at Stair Park, but an illness bug has spread through the changing room and ruined manager Brian Reid's plans.

David McGurn (toe), David Barron (ankle), Lee Mair (groin) and Craig Malcolm (knee) are definitely out while Steven Bell and Chris Aitken are doubtful and there could be further absentees.

Reid said: "There are a few boys struggling and I cannot even think about selecting a side until I see who is available.

"It is far from ideal, especially as we are determined to show that we are a better side than last week indicates."

Forfar defender Gareth Rodger is suspended with Station Park manager Gary Bollan also delaying naming his side due to illness.

Michael Travis is out with a knee injury and Michael Dunlop is doubtful but Iain Campbell should return after a knock.

Loons boss Gary Bollan said: "I will not be able to formalise my team until I see who is on the team bus for the long journey to Stranraer.

"We are going there after a disappointing 4-0 defeat to Brechin in midweek but we know that the game would have turned out differently if we had scored when we were on top early on."
