Albion Rovers FC vs Peterhead - McBride back to boost Albion but boss Young waits on Petrie

Albion will bid to boost their play-off hopes by defeating in-form visitors Peterhead and Scott McBride returns from a ban to help out.

But Darren Petrie is an injury doubt with Paul Willis remains sidelined due to a groin problem.

Player-manager Darren Young said: "We have done well to remain in fourth place as we have only taken one point from the last six.

"It should have been six from six but we are in a rut just now when it comes to missing chances.

"Hopefully that will change against Peterhead as they are a good side who do not need a helping hand."

Peterhead will be without skipper Steven Noble and Ally Gilchrist through suspension while Leighton McIntosh is also sidelined due to an ankle injury.

Manager Jim McInally is more concerned about making up for his side's performance the last time they visited Cliftonhill than extending their unbeaten run to 16 games.

McInally said: "We never played at all in that last game. It had nothing each written all over it until we were short with a pass-back and they scored.

"It would be good to show that we are a better side than that performance indicated. Winning would be great as it will really hit their chances of catching us in the play-off race."
