Cowdenbeath vs Airdrie United - Injuries take their toll on Cowdenbeath as Nish waits on midfielders

Cowdenbeath will be without Fraser Kerr against Airdrie due to a hand injury and fellow defender Aldin El-Zubaidi is struggling with a knock.

Midfielder Kyle Miller is out with a foot problem while fellow midfielders Liam Callaghan and Dean Brett are both rated doubtful.

Manager Colin Nish said: "We have had a demanding schedule of games, however we need to be fresh and lively to face Airdrie.

"We played well at Stenhousemuir last weekend and won but slipped back a bit against Ayr in midweek.

"We defeated Airdrie 3-0 on their last visit here and if we could pick up another result like that it would be a terrific boost."

The Diamonds will be without the services of David Cox who is serving the last game of a three-match ban with manager Eddie Wolecki Black looking for his team to show a more creative side to their game.

Wolecki Black said: "We lost to Ayr last weekend despite having the best of the play in the first half.

"We had plenty of possession but we did not turn that into goals and paid the price.

"Central Park has a narrow playing surface and it will be heavy going, however we need to find a way to open things up and get the win that keeps us close to the play-offs."
