Brechin City vs Ayr Utd. - Spence boost for Brechin as bottom club bid for back-to-back wins

Bottom-of-the-table Brechin will have Lewis Spence available to face visitors Ayr but David Weatherson is out with a groin problem.

Andy Jackson is also doubtful and Gary Fusco is suspended as Brechin chase back-to-back wins.

Player-manager Darren Dods said: "Defeating Forfar 4-0 in midweek could turn out to be a really important win.

"We asked the players to go out and compete for everything. They did that and we have pulled ourselves to within four points of them, so we have something to build on.

"We have nine games to go and we need to treat them in the same manner, starting against a good Ayr side."

Ayr manager Ian McCall will add Jamie Adams to his squad after a knee injury and Craig Moore is also available.

But Andy Graham sustained a knock in Tuesday night's 4-1 win over Cowdenbeath and looks set to miss out.

McCall said: "In all my time in football Glebe Park has always been a difficult venue. This game will be difficult despite Brechin being at the foot of the table.

"Brechin will have taken a huge lift from beating Forfar and will be looking to use the positivity from that against us.

"We have started to build momentum again and that could be crucial as we head towards the end of the season."
