WANTED: Arturo Vidal
The Chile ace, 28, is seen as the type of box-to-box midfielder the Blues need to beef things up in the middle of the park.
Chelsea’s technical director Michael Emenalo was in Italy on Tuesday to watch the player in the Germans’ 2-2 Champions League draw with Juventus.
Vidal joined Bayern from Juve, where he spent time under former boss Conte who signed him from Bayer Leverkusen in 2011.
The current Italian national boss is one of the leading candidates to replace Chelsea interim manager Guus Hiddink this summer.
Vidal – a long-term target for Arsenal – has been capped 73 times by his country and signed a four-year deal with Bayern last summer.
Conte, 46, has also been linked with a move for Roma’s Belgium midfi elder Radja Nainggolan, 27 – should he get the nod at Stamford Bridge.
