Armand Gnanduillet double spurs Leyton Orient to victory against Crawley

Armand Gnanduillet scored both goals as Leyton Orient kept their Sky Bet League Two promotion hopes alive with a 2-0 home win against Crawley Town.

The gangly former Chesterfield striker scored on 43 and 70 minutes to give the home side a deserved victory against the poor visitors.

The drabness of an uninspiring opening 45 minutes was broken only by a brilliant goal by Gnanduillet just before the interval.

Making only his second start for the O's since moving to the Londoners in January, he brought crowd to life with a wonder goal. With his back to goal, he chested the ball down before turning and unleashing a powerful volley into the roof of the net.

Town had failed to produce a single shot either on or off target in the first half

Despite dominating possession, Orient had given visiting goalkeeper Paul Jones few moments of concern until Gnanduillet's effort.

The hosts continued to dominate after the break and squandered a number of chances before Gnanduillet ensured the points when left unmarked at the far post to stab home a Sean Clohessy cross from the right flank.
