Coventry vs Fleetwood Town - Lee Burge out for Coventry with shoulder injury

Posted Friday, February 26, 2016 by PA

Coventry goalkeeper Lee Burge is out with a shoulder injury which will sideline him for the rest of the season.

The 23-year-old will have surgery on Friday and rookie Corey Addai will be included in the squad to face Fleetwood as cover for Reice Charles-Cook.

Boss Tony Mowbray told the Coventry Telegraph: "Lee is having his operation on Friday. Corey comes into the squad. We have got six loans so we don't want to go and get another to sit on the bench."

Captain Reda Johnson remains sidelined with a hamstring injury which will keep him out for the rest of the season.

Northern Ireland international Conor McLaughlin remains sidelined for Fleetwood with the knee injury he suffered against Gillingham last weekend.

Stephen Jordan and Tyler Forbes both suffered hamstring complaints in the loss at Rochdale, adding to Steven Pressley's worries.

However, Joe Davis returned from injury to replace Jordan 10 minutes before half-time and could now start.

Captain Nathan Pond remains on the fast-track to return from a hamstring problem, although this match comes too soon.
