Molde 1 - 0 Sevilla: Sevilla progress in Europa League despite second leg defeat to Molde

Sevilla made it through to the Europa League round of 16 but it was Molde who earned the plaudits in the second leg with a hard-fought 1-0 win.

Eirik Hestad scored the only goal on Thursday night as Molde secured the win, though Sevilla's 3-0 result from the first leg in Spain eventually proved enough.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Molde had to withstand a few early efforts from the Sevilla front line, especially from Yevhen Konoplyanka, but Molde got themselves in front shortly before the break as Hestad found the bottom corner from 12 yards.

Sevilla continued to press to extend their overall advantage, courtesy of efforts from Michael Krohn-Dehli and Jose Diogo Figueiras, but had to be satisfied with an aggregate win in the end.
