Ally Love scored twice as Albion moved into the top four with a convincing 4-1 win against Brechin.

They were on the front foot from the first whistle, with Love firing wide after 28 seconds and bringing a fine save from goalkeeper Graeme Smith in the third minute after the goalkeeper had tipped over a Darren Petrie effort.

Scott McBride had seen a shot blocked by Smith before he expertly headed the home side in front in the 33rd minute, looping the ball home.

They doubled their advantage five minutes later when Andrew Barrowman capitalised on a defensive error to slot past the keeper.

Albion were rampant and made it 3-0 after 41 minutes as the lively Love finished off a swift counter-attack with a neat finish.

The home side eased off the gas in the second half and Brechin pulled a goal back from the penalty spot. Andrew Jackson was brought down by Ross Dunlop and Paul Maclean scored from the spot.

There was still time for Albion to add a fourth, with Love scoring a penalty after Ross Davidson fouled Euan Smith.
