Arsenal keen to secure summer deal for 26-goal Man United target

Arsenal have turned their attentions to securing a summer deal for Manchester United target Gonzalo Higuain from Napoli, according to reports from Fichajes.

The 28-year-old also emerged as a potential striking candidate for current Premier League champions Chelsea, as all three sides look to reinforce their attack.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has been linked with a host of world class forwards in recent months as he looks to add more competition for Olivier Giroud up top.

Apart from the Argentina international, Wenger has also made Paris Saint-Germain star Edinson Cavani another possible option ahead of the upcoming summer window.

However, Higuain's agent recently came out to deny any sort of exit for the player, with any interested parties expected to pay around the £70million region for his services.

He has been on great form so far, featuring 31 times in all competitions this term, scoring 26 goals while being able to provide another three assists in the process.
