Ipswich goalkeeper Dean Gerken has been passed fit enough to return to the squad ahead of the game with Hull.

Gerken has been out since partially tearing a ligament in his shoulder in a clash with Birmingham's James Vaughan in the 3-0 defeat at St. Andrew's last month.

Ipswich will also have Luke Hyam and Jonathan Douglas back in the squad as they both return from injury and suspension respectively.

Ryan Fraser and Teddy Bishop are out with hamstring injuries. Cole Skuse (toe), David McGoldrick (groin) and Giles Coke (knee) also remain sidelined.

Hull manager Steve Bruce is set to make wholesale changes after making 10 for the goalless draw at Arsenal on Saturday in the FA Cup.

Nick Powell made his debut for the club but is expected to make way with Bruce likely to revert back to the side which started in the 0-0 home draw against Brighton last Tuesday.

That will mean a return for the likes of goalkeeper Allan McGregor - Eldin Jakupovic was man of the match against Arsenal - striker Abel Hernandez, plus midfielders Mo Diame, Sam Clucas and Jake Livermore.

Defenders Andy Robertson and Michael Dawson are also expected to return as Hull bid to extend their lead at the top.
