Cowdenbeath vs Forfar Athletic - Goalkeeper Roman to retain Cowdenbeath starting spot

Goalkeeper Alin Roman could keep his place between the sticks for Cowdenbeath when Forfar visit after impressing on his debut against Peterhead at the weekend.

The former Heriot-Watt shot-stopper started against Peterhead as Grant Adam was ill and manager Colin Nish is considering going again with Roman.

Defender Kenny Adamson is doubtful after picking up a knock against the Blue Toon and he could join injured midfielders Kyle Miller (foot) and Liam Callaghan (hamstring) in missing out.

Nish said: "We played well in parts against a good Peterhead side and need to build on that against Forfar. This is a big game and a win could put a different complexion on our season.

Forfar defender Mark Baxter has departed the club due to increased work commitments and has dropped out of manager Gary Bollan's plans as a result.

Defender Michael Travis remains out for the long term with a knee injury and his backline colleague Iain Campbell is doubtful with a groin strain.

Station Park boss Bollan, who is looking for his first win since his appointment in December, said: "The players worked hard at Ayr at the weekend and were unlucky to lose 2-1.

"We were giving them a lot of problems at 1-1. However, we never got a break which seems to be the way of things just now. Winning this game would be a huge boost."
