Albion Rovers FC vs Brechin City - Albion boss Darren Young hopeful on Paul Willis

Albion Rovers hope to have midfielder Paul Willis available when bottom of the table Brechin City visit Cliftonhill, with player-manager Darren Young eyeing a win that will satisfy two needs.

Young explained: "At the start of the season we were looking to stabilise at a higher level. If we could beat Brechin City we will have pushed ourselves very close to being there and that would be a good achievement.

"Winning would also take us back into the top four. Whilst the promotion play-offs is something we would look at after we are mathematically safe it would still be nice to be as high up the table as we can be."

Brechin City are able to recall on-loan Dunfermline midfielder Lewis Spence after he was not allowed to play in Saturday's 2-1 home defeat by the East End Park side.

David Weatherston looks set to miss out after being injured against the Pars with player-manager Darren Dods looking for his men to be more ruthless with their chances.

Dods explained: "We are creating chances but are not making the most of them. The players are snatching at things which is probably a reflection on their desire to score and win games.

"Hopefully we can find a way to get ahead as I am sure that confidence would grow if that happened."
