Millwall 3 - 0 Peterborough United: Steve Morison double helps Millwall to comfortable win over Peterborough

Millwall strengthened their grip on a Sky Bet League One play-off spot with a comfortable 3-0 win against Peterborough.

Steve Morison scored twice and Lee Gregory grabbed his 20th goal of the season to make it a fourth loss in five league matches for the visitors.

Millwall goalkeeper Jordan Archer had to acrobatically head over Mark Beevers' 45-yard back pass before Gregory missed a great chance to open the scoring by volleying over from a few yards out.

Gregory then had a shot saved by Ben Alnwick, but he stood the rebound up to the back post where Morison headed in his 11th goal of the season on 30 minutes.

Shaquile Coulthirst was one of two half-time substitutions for Posh and he appeared lucky not to receive a red card within a minute of coming on for a late challenge on Jed Wallace.

Gregory then out-jumped the home defence to nod in his 10th goal in 10 games on 49 minutes, before Morison headed in Shane Ferguson's corner 13 minutes later to complete the scoring.
