Ashley Fletcher's late goal was enough to give Barnsley a 1-0 victory over their South Yorkshire rivals Doncaster in a match they dominated.
Fletcher struck eight minutes from time as Barnsley moved up to 10th, leaving Doncaster just three points above the drop zone in 17th.
Sam Winnall had a chance to put the hosts in front after only two minutes, heading just wide from a James Bree cross.
Adam Hammill also threatened for the hosts early on, having an effort well saved following a one-two with Winnall.
Doncaster keeper Thorsten Stuckmann came to his side's rescue again, producing a fine save to keep out Hammill once more.
Barnsley continued to press with Conor Hourihane and Marley Watkins threatening the visitors' goal.
The busy Stuckmann also had to save from Fletcher, Hourihane and Winnall before Barnsley struck.
Fletcher got the all important goal in the 82nd minute, pouncing to score after Hourihane's low shot was parried by Stuckmann.
Doncaster rarely threatened to find a way through the home side's rear-guard with Barnsley only denied a more comprehensive victory by Stuckmann's strong goalkeeping display.
