Monchengladbach 1 - 0 Koln: Borussia Monchengladbach edge to win over Cologne

Borussia Monchengladbach got their Champions League challenge back on track with a 1-0 win over Cologne in the Rhineland derby.

Mahmoud Dahoud's goal was enough to earn Andre Schubert's men all three points and take them to within a point of third-placed Hertha Berlin on Saturday.

The Foals were unable to add a second, despite creating numerous openings, and they nearly paid the price as Cologne hit back the second half.

The hosts withstood the pressure, though, to earn a precious win and put six points between the two sides in the Bundesliga standings.
