Raith Rovers 2 - 0 Livingston: Rovers' roar is too loud for Lions

Posted Sunday, February 21, 2016 by PA

Mark Stewart scored one and made one as Raith beat Livingston 2-0.

Stewart opened the scoring in the first half before setting up Aidan Connolly for a second as Rovers won for just the second time in 13 Ladbrokes Championship outings.

Harry Panayiotou was denied a stunning opener when his 25-yard effort hit the crossbar in the 31st minute but soon after Stewart did score.

Darren Cole overhit his 37th-minute pass back to goalkeeper Marc McCallum and Stewart stroked into the empty net.

Livingston almost responded within two minutes but Jordan White's attempted lob was pushed away from his goal by Kevin Cuthbert.

Raith sealed victory three minutes into the second period when Stewart beat his marker before squaring for Aidan Connolly to tap in.
