St. Mirren vs Dumbarton - St Mirren without banned duo against Dumbarton

Keith Watson and Stevie Mallan are banned for St Mirren when they host Dumbarton.

Jim Goodwin could be involved after three months out with an ankle injury but a knee problem keeps Jason Naismith sidelined.

Manager Alex Rae said: "We were unlucky to lose to Queen of the South last weekend however there were positives to take. A number of the ideas that we have been trying to implement since we came in are getting embedded in our play.

"If we keep that up we can beat Dumbarton."

Dumbarton could be three players down as Jamie Lindsay remains out after a cut foot and Christian Nade and Garry Fleming are struggling after picking up knocks in the 2-0 defeat from Morton last weekend.

Manager Stephen Aitken said: "We have done well against St Mirren this season and completing a hat-trick of wins over them would be great. If we are to do so we need to up our game from last weekend where we were a bit flat against Morton.

"Losing Christian and Garry really blunted our attack so hopefully they will be available to meet a Saints side that has been freshened up under Alex Rae."
