Burnley vs Rotherham United - Lloyd Dyer to wait for Burnley debut

Lloyd Dyer will not make his Burnley debut against Rotherham despite signing on a free transfer until the end of the season.

The 33-year-old has not played this term and left Watford during the January transfer window after a year and a half at the club. Boss Sean Dyche will give him time to bed in at Turf Moor.

Dean Marney is expected to miss out once again with a calf injury.

New signing James Tarkowski is also yet to make his debut following his January move from Brentford, with Michael Keane or Ben Mee keeping him out.

Rotherham boss Neil Warnock will have to make changes as he aims for his first win in charge.

Richard Wood and Joe Mattock were both sent off in the 0-0 draw with Birmingham in Warnock's first game in charge last weekend and will serve one-match bans.

Midfielder Andrew Shinnie returns to the fray after he was ineligible for the game against his parent club while the Millers have also added free agent Jerome Thomas to their squad this week.

Aimen Belaid (groin) played 90 minutes for the reserves during the week while Leon Best (groin) and Lee Frecklington (hamstring) have returned to full training but Warnock would be taking a risk by including them in the daunting trip to Turf Moor.
