Luton Town vs Hartlepool United FC - Danny Green pushing for Luton start

Posted Friday, February 19, 2016 by PA

Danny Green could return to the Luton starting line-up for the visit of Hartlepool.

The midfielder was back on the bench for last weekend's 4-1 defeat at AFC Wimbledon after recovering from ankle ligament damage.

Nathan Doyle and Josh McQuoid are still out as they continue their recoveries from knee operations.

Ryan Hall is also on the sidelines due to a foot injury.

Hartlepool boss Craig Hignett admits his squad are nursing bumps and bruises following the midweek defeat against Notts County and he may be forced to make changes.

Michael Duckworth is definitely missing having undergone a hernia operation on Wednesday to try and solve a long-standing problem.

Fellow defender Harry Worley resumed training this week after a lengthy absence with an ankle injury but this game will come too soon.

Hignett suffered his first defeat as a manager against the Magpies on Tuesday night, with Pools hitting back from 2-0 down to level at 2-2, only for Jon Stead to grab a late winner for the visitors.
