Eintracht Frankfurt 0 - 0 Hamburger: Eintracht Frankfurt held to home draw by Hamburg

Eintracht Frankfurt and Hamburg kicked off the 22nd round of matches in the Bundesliga on Friday night with a goalless draw at the Waldstadion.

There were few chances at either end with Stefan Aigner wasting the best for the hosts in the second half, shooting straight at Rene Adler from a tight angle.

The Frankfurt fans vented their frustration at half-time after Hamburg had succeeded in keeping the home team quite.

Nicolai Muller almost snatched the points for Hamburg with a shot which just missed the target, but a draw - and a goalless one at that - was a fair result, leaving Frankfurt just two points above the bottom three.

Hamburg rose one place to 10th, but both sides could drop down the table when the rest of the weekend's games have been played.
