FIRST TIME: The flamboyant striker has never played in the Premier League

Paris St-Germain’s superstar Swedish striker has never played in England and famously refused to have a trial for Arsene Wenger at Arsenal aged 16.

But the 34-year-old’s contract is up at PSG this summer and he indicated he may have sorted a move to the Premier League after scoring the first goal in the French giants’ 2-1 Champions League defeat of Chelsea on Tuesday.

Asked if he was Premier League-bound, he said: “I have another three months here and then what will happen? Big things will happen, let’s just say I am in shape.”

Ibrahimovic, who made a point of stopping to turn back and speak to English reporters at the Parc des Princes, said he was convinced PSG would overcome Chelsea in the second leg in 13 days.

"We are confident,” he said. “We want to play in this positive manner so wherever we go, we will play our game.”

LIFELINE: John Obi Mikel's goal has kept Chelsea in the tie

But Chelsea’s goal hero in Paris, John Obi Mikel, reckoned his strike could have been crucial.

"Hopefully this goal keeps us alive in the tie and we believe we can do it,” he said. “We can get a very good result at home which can see us through.

"The second leg is going to be massive and hopefully this away goal is going to be decisive. If we get a 1-0 win, we’re through.”

Mikel scored just before the break after playing a key role in PSG’s first goal in the 38th minute. First he was booked for fouling Lucas then he deflected in Ibrahimovic’s free-kick.

"The first goal was a big deflection from me and my foul that I committed,” he added. “I had to make the foul because he was going deeper and deeper into the box.

"And I know I had to make a challenge, either to get the ball or foul him, but then the deflection was a big one.

"It was my foul, I got booked and then the deflection. So it was three things. But we came back strong and I got the equaliser back, which was great.

"We’re very disappointed losing the second goal. I think we deserved more.”

Blues defender Branislav Ivanovic knows there can be no more blunders at Stamford Bridge in three weeks, claiming Chelsea will need a clean sheet to progress.

He said: “We have to concentrate. We know we have to play defensively a perfect game at home to go through.”
