Accrington Stanley vs Carlisle - McCartan and Crooks banned but Mooney available

Accrington will be without suspended pair Shay McCartan and Matt Crooks for the rearranged home game against Carlisle.

Striker McCartan and goalkeeper Jason Mooney were both shown straight red cards in Saturday's home win against Crawley but the latter's dismissal has been rescinded after a successful appeal and he will be available.

Midfielder Crooks received his 10th booking of the season and starts a two-match suspension, while manager John Coleman has no new injury concerns.

Forward Josh Windass had surgery to resolve a double hernia on Friday and central defender Dean Winnard remains sidelined with an ankle injury sustained in December.

Carlisle's on-loan midfielder Brandon Comley will serve a one-game ban following his dismissal for two yellow-card offences in Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Newport.

Luke Joyce and Bastien Hery will be vying for a start in Comley's absence, while boss Keith Curle will be hoping five of his players will have shaken off a virus which he claimed contributed to their poor showing at the weekend.

Michael Raynes recovered in time from a blow to the face to play the full 90 minutes on Saturday and will retain the skipper's armband if fellow defender Danny Grainger misses out again due to an ankle injury.

The Cumbrians, six points adrift of the play-off places, are chasing their first league win on the road since November.
