Peterhead vs Forfar Athletic - Ross misses out for Blue Toon

Scott Ross is the only absentee for Peterhead as they prepare to host Forfar.

Ross is suspended for the Blue Toon, who have climbed up to second place in recent weeks, but his manager Jim McInally is more interested in winning on Saturday than creating records.

"People have been mentioning how good our 12-game unbeaten run is and that we are close to the club record of 14," said McInally.

"However, I want us to win games as opposed to preserving an unbeaten record. You get more points for winning one game than you do for drawing two so we will go out and attack Forfar from the off.

"They will come good under the guidance of Gary Bollan but we can hopefully postpone that for a week."

Forfar have added experienced striker Steven Craig to their ranks but Michael Travis will be missing due to a knee injury.

Martyn Fotheringham and Omar Kader are closing in on starts after getting game time in a development match this week.

Loons boss Bollan said: "I am looking for the players to put in a full 90-minute performance. Last weekend against Stranraer we were poor in the first half and good in the second. To do anything away to Peterhead we need to play for the entire game.

"They have a strong attack but with the changes we have made we are carrying a threat as well."
