Incoming Man City boss to anger Man United with move for Old Trafford star

Pep Guardiola is already considering a summer move for Manchester United's Victor Valdes when he officially takes control at Manchester City, according to reports from Sport.
The Spanish tactician is set to step into the Etihad Stadium dugout at the end of the season, replacing Manuel Pellegrini, and is likely to wade into the transfer market.
Although a number of high-profile, expensive names have been aligned with moves to City since the news, reports claim that one man Guardiola wants is Valdes, who is currently owned by bitter rivals, Man United.
The goalie starred under the incoming Citizens chief during their time together at Barcelona, in which time they won numerous domestic and European honours.
Valdes is due to be a free agent this summer and is currently on loan at Standard Liege after falling out with Old Trafford chief, Louis van Gaal.
It looks unlikely that the 34-year-old will be returning to the Theatre of Dreams, and Guardiola is eager to hand him a two-year contract.
Valdes would probably be asked play a back-up role to Joe Hart, so there's no guarantee that he will opt for City with his options likely to be plentiful come the off-season.
