Airdrie United 2 - 0 Cowdenbeath: Airdrieonians secure comfortable win over Cowdenbeath

Marc Fitzpatrick's early goal and James Lister's late strike earned Airdrieonians a deserved 2-0 home win over Cowdenbeath.
Fitzpatrick fired home from close range, finding the bottom left corner with his shot following Lister's assist, as the hosts went in front after 14 minutes.
The visitors never looked like mounting a fightback, Declan McDaid's shot which was fumbled by Neil Parry their only meaningful attempt on target, and their hopes were ended in the 89th minute when Lister fired home to make the points safe.
Victory kept Airdrieonians, who are unbeaten since the turn of the year, in fourth place, while Cowdenbeath, who have now lost three in a row, remain in relegation danger in eighth.
