Ayr Utd. vs Peterhead - Double blow for Ayr as they prepare for Peterhead clash

Ayr will be without Paddy Boyle and Ross Docherty when in-form Peterhead pitch up at Somerset Park.
Boyle has a knee injury while Docherty has an ankle problem but manager Ian McCall can call on the fit again Gerry McLauchlan, Brian Gilmour, Jamie Adams and Robbie Crawford against a side he rates highly.
"I said at the start of the season that Peterhead would be a promotion chasing side and after a sluggish start they are very much in the hunt," said McCall. "Rory McAllister is a striker that can play at a higher level and he is well supported by others.
"However, our home record is good and we can win."
Third-placed Peterhead, a point behind Ayr in the table, have midfielder Simon Ferry available after injury to give boss Jim McInally a full squad to choose from as he looks to guide his side to a 12th game without defeat.
McInally said: "We won 5-1 against Albion Rovers last weekend which sounds quite comprehensive but it was not that great a performance. We only played in patches and we have to put together a strong 90 minute performance to get something at Ayr.
"They will see this game as a chance to open up a gap on us with a couple of games in hand as well keep close to Dunfermline so we have to play well."
