St Mirren host Queen of the South and the Saints will be without Paul McMullan who has returned to Celtic at the end of his loan spell.
Jason Naismith continues to be out with a knee injury with Jim Goodwin not yet ready to return following ankle problem.
Manager Alex Rae said: "It was terrific to win at home last weekend for the first time this season when we defeated Alloa. That was a big result for us however it does not hide the fact that we are still a work in progress.
"Queen of the South are a good experienced side and beating them would give everyone another boost."
The Doonhamers are without the injured Chris Higgins (ankle), Callum Tapping (knee) and Dale Hilson (foot) as they look for the win to take them into the Championship play off spots.
Assistant manager Gavin Skelton said: "St Mirren have changed their manager and changed a good number of players since this game was meant to be played in December. They are beginning to gain momentum under Alex however we have to view this game as a chance to make an impact in the promotion chase.
"We have played well recently but have yet to hit top form this season. It would be great to take a step towards that at St Mirren."
