Stevenage Borough vs Crawley Town - Darren Sarll takes charge of Stevenage

Caretaker manager Darren Sarll will take charge of Stevenage for their Sky Bet League Two clash against Crawley after Teddy Sheringham parted company with the club earlier this week.

Former Manchester United and Tottenham forward Sheringham left Broadhall Way with Boro having failed to win since December 12.

Sarll, who has a long-term association with the League Two outfit, steps up from his role as a first-team coach.

Ryan Hedges and Pat Hoban, who both joined Stevenage on loan on the day of Sheringham's departure, could feature.

Crawley manager Mark Yates has a decision to make after signing their former goalkeeper Paul Jones on a 28-day loan from Portsmouth.

The 29-year-old joins the Reds to compete with Callum Preston after former first-choice goalkeeper Darryl Flahavan left in January when the club withdrew the offer of a new contract.

The Crawley boss told reporters early on transfer deadline day there would be no new players joining the club on a permanent basis due to the club's ongoing sale proceedings.

Lanre Oyebanjo, Joe McNerney (both knee) and Jimmy Smith are still sidelined but there are no fresh injury or suspension concerns for Yates.
