Chesterfield vs Peterborough United - All change for Chesterfield as Peterborough come to town
Posted Friday, February 05, 2016 by PA
A much-changed Chesterfield squad will renew the battle against relegation when Peterborough visit the Proact Stadium.
Sam Morsy signed off with a goal in the 2-1 home loss to Millwall on January 23, before leaving to join League One rivals Wigan. That was the Spireites' last game and Morsy's departure has since been countered by the arrival of three new players.
The versatile Gary Liddle, defender Tom Anderson and midfielder Connor Dimaio all arrived on a busy transfer deadline day and are in contention to make their debuts.
Blues boss Danny Wilson also sees his squad bolstered further by the return of Chris Herd (illness) and Ollie Banks (groin).
Striker Tom Nichols is set to make his debut for Peterborough.
The 22-year-old joined Posh on transfer deadline day from Exeter and goes straight into the squad for the trip to the Proact Stadium.
On-loan left-back Harry Toffolo should be fit to return after missing last week's FA Cup draw at West Brom.
Toffolo was ruled out at the Hawthorns with a whiplash injury but is likely to be available against the Spireites.
