CONTRACT OFFER: Michael Carrick has a new one-year deal to stay at Man United on the table
Football Insider claim the Red Devils are willing to pay the England international £125,000-a-week should he commit to the club.
The 34-year-old is highly regarded at Old Trafford despite the likes of Morgan Schneiderlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger starting more often than him.
Carrick is the second longest-serving player at United and Louis van Gaal is keen to keep his experience at the club.
EXPERIENCE: Louis van Gaal is keen for Carrick to stay at Old Trafford
MLS sides including LA Galaxy and New York Red Bulls were showing interest in the former Tottenham and West Ham man but he now looks set to stay at Old Trafford.
Carrick started in the 3-0 victory against Stoke yesterday and many fans were pleased Van Gaal reinstated him into the team.
The England man joined United from Spurs in 2006 for a deal worth £18m and the only player who has been at the Red Devils for longer than him is Wayne Rooney.
