De Jong poised for LA Galaxy move

AC Milan midfielder Nigel de Jong is currently in talks with LA Galaxy over a potential move to Major League Soccer.
De Jong, 31, has only made one league appearance for Milan since September 2015 and has been linked with a move away from the club over the last few months.
Milan CEO Adriano Galliani confirmed that a deal for the Netherlands international could be concluded before transfer window closes.
"There are ongoing negotiations with LA Galaxy for De Jong, but things will only be concluded when the contracts are exchanged," Galliani told Mediaset Premium.
Galliani also ruled out any possible replacements, reinforcements or late signings that would be made by the club, insisting that they are covered in all departments for now.
"No, absolutely not. If we look at the number of players in the squad, we're covered numerically in every department," he added.
AC Milan are currently occupying 6th position on the Serie A log standings, with 36 points after 22 games.
