Stenhousemuir vs Brechin City - Goalkeeper Jamie Barclay missing for Stenhousemuir
Posted Tuesday, February 02, 2016 by PA
Stenhousemuir goalkeeper Jamie Barclay will miss the Ladbrokes League One clash with Brechin due to a thigh strain.
Spanish midfielder Carlos Mazana is also unavailable due to family commitments, while striker Jason Scotland looks set to be involved after a hamstring problem with manager Brown Ferguson keen for his men to start winning again at home.
Ferguson said: "We have not won at our own place for over three months and if we can put that right by defeating Brechin we will move much closer to the promotion play-offs.
"Brechin will be fighting for everything as they need points as well but a win would make us stronger promotion contenders."
Brechin player-manager Darren Dods is again without Paul McLean who has a hamstring injury but he hopes to clinch the loan signing of Aberdeen defender Lukas Culjak.
The Glebe Park boss is looking for his players to get the win that could provide the turning point in their season and said: "We know that if we win we go above Forfar at the foot of the table and that will give us a real boost. We had the chance to do that at the weekend when their game was called off but we never took it.
"We cannot keep missing chances to move up the way."
