Albion Rovers FC vs Stranraer - Paul Willis set to return for Albion's clash with Stranraer

Paul Willis is set to return to the Albion line-up for the Ladbrokes League One clash with Stranraer.

Willis missed Saturday's 5-1 defeat at Peterhead with a knock but has recovered and is available to player-manager Darren Young.

Young is also looking to bring a striker on board as Andrew Barrowman (calf) and John Gemmell (ankle) will be missing and Josh Mullin is a doubt.

Young said: "We did really well in the first half at Peterhead and were level at 1-1 but we made mistakes in the second which were punished. We need to ensure that they do not re-surface as if we can win this game we go back into the top four with games in hand."

Stranraer have released Argentine striker Luciano Nequecaur and manager Brian Reid is unable to call on the injured David McGurn (toe), Lee Mair (groin) and Chris Aitken (calf).

Ryan Thomson is an injury doubt as Reid looks to guide his men to a fifth win in six games.

Reid said: "Things have turned around for us since Christmas but there is no point in stopping now. If we defeat Albion we will go above them and bring a play-off place into sight.

"That is a nice incentive after being in the bottom half of the table for most of the season."
