Musonda loaned out to Betis

Chelsea youngster Charly Musonda Jr will spend the rest of the season in La Liga after completing a loan move to Real Betis.

The 19-year-old Belgium youth international is one of the stars of the Chelsea youth sides and signed a new contract with the Blues in 2015, keeping him with the English side until 2019.

Although the attacking midfielder had been hoping to break into the first team at Stamford Bridge, the club's policy of loaning players out means that he will have to impress from afar with Betis, who are 14th in La Liga.

"I'm very happy to be here and excited to start," Musonda told the Spanish club's official website. "I want to give my best for myself, for the team and for the fans."

Born in Brussels, Musonda is the son of Charly Sr, a Zambia international who made over 100 appearances for Anderlecht, the club that his son would later play for before joining the Blues in 2012.
