German Denis ensured Atalanta earned a 1-1 draw against Sassuolo at the Azzurri d'Italia.
Domenico Berardi put the visitors in front but the Argentinian forward equalised after his initial spot-kick was saved by Sassuolo goalkeeper Andrea Consigli.
La Dea, who were looking for their first win in seven games, saw Rafael Toloi hobble off through injury with Alessandro Diamanti replacing him.
Things went from bad to worse as Berardi tapped in his fourth of the season to give Eusebio Di Francesco's men the lead.
Edy Reja's side levelled five minutes later as Denis needed two attempts to equalise after Jasmin Kurtic was tripped by Consigli in the box.
