Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is determined to hold on to the Argentine amid interest from Chelsea and Manchester United.

The Daily Mirror claims Pochettino will be rewarded for building a young successful team at White Hart Lane.

The Spurs boss currently earns £3.5m per year but that figure will increased dramatically if he commits to the club.

Pochettino has three-and-a-half years remaining on his current deal which he signed after leaving Southampton in 2014.

The 43-year-old has the final say on transfers at Tottenham and has led the side to fourth in the Premier League this campaign.

Chelsea are looking for a new boss to take charge in the summer as interim manager Guus Hiddink will leave the club.

Pochettino committed himself to Spurs yesterday, saying: "I'm very happy here. We've created a very good group, with a strong basis for success in the future and I'm very happy.

"My focus is here, to try for success at Tottenham and to work hard."

Tottenham face Colchester in the FA Cup fourth round at 12.45pm.
