Glasgow Rangers vs Falkirk - Billy King set for Rangers bow

Posted Saturday, January 30, 2016 by PA

New Rangers winger Billy King could make his first appearance for the club since signing on loan from Hearts when the Ladbrokes Championship leaders host Falkirk on Saturday.

His former Tynecastle colleague Jason Holt should also feature after shaking off the knee injury that caused him to miss Monday's win over Morton.

However, Andy Halliday is suspended after his controversial Cappielow red card.

The midfielder joins injured forward David Templeton (knee) in being unavailable.

Third-placed Falkirk welcome Peter Grant and Lee Miller back after injuries kept them out of the 3-1 Scottish Cup defeat at Dundee in midweek.

Goalkeeper Deniz Mehmet and midfielder Kevin McCann have been added, but Kieran Duffie has parted company by mutual consent.

Manager Peter Houston said: "We will look to do what we did to Rangers just before Christmas and that is to beat them. That result kept the pot boiling in the Championship and we want to do that again.

"We lacked a bit of a cutting edge against Dundee and we need to have that back for this game."
