Rotherham United vs Charlton Athletic - Rotherham boss Neil Redfearn facing selection dilemma
Posted Friday, January 29, 2016 by PA
Rotherham have plenty of options for their crunch Sky Bet Championship clash against relegation rivals Charlton.
Andrew Shinnie is in line to make his debut following his loan move from Birmingham so boss Neil Redfearn has decisions to make after an impressive performance in a 2-2 draw at Cardiff last week.
Defender Aymen Belaid will have a fitness test on a groin injury and is rated 50/50, while midfielder Lee Frecklington has had a setback in his recovery from a hamstring injury.
Striker Luciano Becchio is "not a million miles away" from a start, but the Argentinian is likely to be on the bench, while latest signing Chris Dawson, released by Leeds, is short of match fitness.
Charlton report no fresh injury problems as they look to record a first Championship win since the end of November.
Portuguese centre-half Jorge Teixeira made his debut for the struggling Addicks in the 1-1 draw with Blackburn last weekend, so could retain his place in the defence.
Forward Ademola Lookman is training again following his recent hamstring problems, but is not expected to be rushed back by new boss Jose Riga.
Belgian defender Patrick Bauer faces around a month out following surgery on a groin injury. Midfielders Alou Diarra (foot) and Ahmed Kashi (Achilles) both also continue their rehabilitation.
