Crawley Town vs Mansfield Town - Red Devil Rooney returns for Mansfield meeting

Crawley welcome back Luke Rooney for their Sky Bet League Two clash with Mansfield.

The midfielder has not featured in the Red Devils' last two games but is back in the squad after overcoming illness.

Defensive duo Joe McNerney and Lanre Oyebanjo (both knee) and midfielder Jimmy Smith all remain sidelined but there are no fresh injuries in the squad.

Crawley have not yet signed a new goalkeeper to replace Darryl Flahavan, so for the second successive game there is likely to be no substitute stopper on the bench to back up Callum Preston.

Mansfield manager Adam Murray faces a selection poser in attack for the trip to West Sussex.

The fit again Chris Beardsley and Matt Green formed a good partnership against Morecambe in midweek but match-winner Adi Yussuf, whose last-minute goal gave the Stags a 2-1 victory and got their play-off challenge back on track, will be pushing for a starting role.

Midfielder Reggie Lambe will also be pushing for a recall after being a substitute on Tuesday night.

Mal Benning is nearing his long-awaited return from the knee injury which has sidelined him since October, although he is not yet back in full training.
