Rochdale vs Burton Albion FC - Ashley Eastham out for Rochdale

Ashley Eastham is expected to remain Rochdale's only injury absentee as they welcome Sky Bet League One leaders Burton.

The defender has been sidelined with a calf injury and has not been included in the squad for Dale's last two matches.

Keith Hill otherwise has a clean bill of health but will be contemplating changes following the 6-1 mauling at Barnsley on Saturday.

Nathaniel Mendez-Laing came off the bench to briefly make it 2-1 at Oakwell, but Dale's late collapse - conceding three times in the final six minutes - will have Hill thinking hard about his selection.

Burton boss Nigel Clough expects strikers Stuart Beavon and Mason Bennett to be fit for the trip.

Beavon (back) came off injured in midweek as Albion went three points clear at the top of League One with a 1-0 victory against Peterborough, while Bennett was left out of the squad at the ABAX Stadium after suffering a head injury in the home defeat to Shrewsbury.

"It is a statutory recovery procedure and we were happy that it is being adhered to. He will be available for Saturday," said Clough

Defenders Tom Flanagan (appendix) and Darius Charles (hamstring) could return in February but George Taft and Kelvin Maynard are both out for the rest of the season with knee injuries.
