Millwall vs Crewe Alexandra - Ferguson boosts Millwall

Posted Friday, January 29, 2016 by PA

Shane Ferguson will make his first appearance as a fully-fledged Millwall player against Crewe.

The Northern Ireland midfielder put pen to paper on an 18-month contract with the Lions this week after his loan spell from Newcastle came to an end following the 2-1 win over Chesterfield last Saturday.

Right-back Carlos Edwards will miss out again with a hamstring injury but he is due back in training next week.

Club captain Tony Craig remains sidelined with a knee injury which required surgery in November.

Crewe are set to have the same matchday squad as they did for Tuesday's 0-0 draw at Bury.

Midfielder Billy Bingham will again miss out as he remains sidelined by the hamstring problem that kept him out of the Gigg Lane contest.

Harry Davis (knee), Ryan Wintle (foot), George Ray and Lauri Dalla Valle (both ankle) are also unavailable for selection.

The Alex moved off the bottom of the table to 23rd on Tuesday but only on goal difference, and are seven points adrift of safety as they search for their first win since the end of November.
