AC Milan‘s M’Baye Niang has become the newest name on Leicester City’s wishlist, with the club desperate to boost their firepower before the close of the January transfer window.
The Premier League outfit were foiled in their attempts to sign Sampdoria ace Eder, with the Brazilian-born Italy international looking set for a move to Inter instead.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Leicester have tabled a €16 million bid for the French striker and with Milan set to respond to the English side’s offer on Friday morning.
Niang has been impressive since returning from injury this season, as well as he’s been one of the mainstays in coach Sinisa Mihajlovic’s starting XI. He’s made 10 Serie A appearances so far, scoring twice and providing three assists for the Rossoneri.
Currently sitting atop the EPL summit, the Foxes’ coach Claudio Ranieri is keen to bolster his team’s attacking ranks in order to maintain their unexpected title challenge.
As such, the Italian has been busy shopping in his native Italy, even targeting want-away Roma forward Seydou Doumbia.
