Ashley Cole signs for LA Galaxy

Ashley Cole is the latest former Premier League star to sign for LA Galaxy in the MLS.

The Californian club made an official announcement on Wednesday after weeks of being linked with the left-back. Cole had his Roma contract terminated by mutual consent having struggled to hold down a regular first-team berth. The Italian side confirmed the parting of ways earlier this month.The 35-year-old has enjoyed an illustrious footballing career, which began at Arsenal where he established himself as England's first choice left-back and amassed an array of domestic honours. After seven years with 'the Gunners', Cole moved to west London to join Chelsea in controversial circumstances in 2006. The Englishman would go on to add to his medal collection, including a memorable Champions League victory in 2012.
