Deal done: Crystal Palace sign experience Premier League forward

There have been some raised voices this evening amongst our resident Crystal Palace supporters after their club announced the signing of Emmanuel Adebayor on a contract until the end of the season.
The 31-year old has been keeping himself fit since he departed Tottenham Hotspur last summer and has been without a club since.
Alan Pardew’s Palace side have struggled for goals in recent weeks and the Eagles’ fans over by the bar have pointed out that Adebayor has a wealth of Premier League experience.
The Togo international striker had played for Arsenal and Manchester City before Spurs and has accumulated 96 Premier League so far throughout his career, as well as playing for La Liga giants Real Madrid.
Adebayor, who will don the number 25 jersey, has signed a contract at Selhurst Park that will run until the end of the season as Pardew looks to overcome his side’s goal scoring struggle.
Palace started the season impressively, but have now failed to manage a win from their last 6 league fixtures.
Meanwhile Adebayor netted 18 goals in 59 games during his time at White Hart Lane, but was not included in Spurs’ 25-man squad.
However, the forward was unable to join another club until this month as he was still officially registered as a Spurs player.
