Juventus moved back to within two points of Napoli at the top of the Serie A standings after a 1-0 win over Roma in the late game at Juventus Stadium on Sunday night.

The Turin side dominated proceedings throughout, but were only able to break the deadlock in the 77th minute when Paulo Dybala latched on to a through ball from Paul Pogba before lashing the ball into the bottom right hand corner of the Roma goal.

Roma have now won only one of their last nine league fixtures and lose more ground on Inter Milan in fourth spot.

Napoli earned a dramatic 4-2 win over Sampdoria Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris on Sunday.

In-form striker Gonzalo Higuain put the visitors ahead in the ninth minute before Lorenzo Insigne doubled their lead from the penalty spot nine minutes later.

Joaquín Correa gave his side a lifeline on the stroke of halftime with a neat finish in the 45th minute to make the score 2-1.

Marek Hamsik restored Napoli's two goal advantage in the 60th minute before Eder headed Sampdoria back into the game once again in the 73rd.

However, six minutes later, Napoli secured the win as Dries Martens lashed home a powerful effort from just outside the box to make it 4-2.

Elsewhere in Serie A Bolonga battled to a 1-0 victory over Sassoulo courtesy of a goal from Emanuele Giaccherini in the 68th minute, while strikes from Josip Ilicic and Gonzalo Rodríguez in the 24th and 83rd minutes respectively gave Fiorentina a 2-0 win over Torino.

At Stadio Olimpico, Lazio came from a goal behind to beat Chievo 4-1. Boštjan Cesar got the visitors off to a dream start when he scored in just the fifth minute.

Whatever Stefano Pioli told his players at half time worked a treat, the red card for Cesar in the 47th minute helped too, as Antonio Candreva scored from the penalty spot in the 66th minute, before Danilo Cataldi put them ahead six minutes later.

Cataldi put his side two ahead with his second goal of the game in the 81st minute and 20-year-old Balde Keita secured the points in the 96th minute with Lazio's fourth goal.

Rodrigo Palacio's 39th minute strike proved to be the difference between the sides as Inter beat Carpi 1-0 and Ferdinando Coppola's 19th minute own goal was canceled out by Giampaolo Pazzini's 39th minute strike as Hellas Verona drew 1-1 with Genoa.
