Leyton Orient vs Newport County - Kevin Nolan hoping Nigel Atangana can feature

Leyton Orient player-manager Kevin Nolan will be hoping to have French midfielder Nigel Atangana available when he takes charge at home for the first time against Newport.

Recent signing Atangana came off with cramp in the second half of Saturday's 2-0 victory at Wycombe but he is expected to be available for selection.

Forward Armand Gnanduillet, who joined Orient from Chesterfield last week, will be hoping to make his first start for the club after coming off the bench in the 80th minute at Adams Park.

Nolan was an unused substitute against the Chairboys and he could include himself in the matchday squad again on Tuesday.

Newport will once again be without suspended goalkeeper Joe Day for the trip.

Day serves the second game of a three-match ban after he saw red in the closing stages of the Exiles' 2-1 defeat to Blackburn in the third round of the FA Cup.

John-Christophe Ayina is in contention to make his full debut after he came off the bench to score County's first goal as they rescued a point against Dagenham on Saturday, while Medy Elito (leg) could return.

On-loan Crystal Palace midfielder Connor Dymond is set to return to the fold after missing out against the Daggers due to County being unable to name all six of their loanees in the matchday squad.
